Montréal recently celebrated its Tercentennial and can boast itself, the second largest city in Canada. The city is thriving economically. It is home to the internationally famous Cirque du Soleil, renowned for its arts festivals. The largest bilingual hub of Quebec Province- the city holds the largest concentration of French speakers outside of France. The city pays homage to its European founders, well preserved for visitors in Vieux Montréal and holds great pride in its bicultural heritage.
